Barbour Product Search have announced a new strategic partnership with the British Board of Agrément. This new partnership of two leading construction industry names will see the support of a joined-up, connected supply chain to help decision-makers drive business forward in 2021 and beyond.

Barbour Product Search is the market leading online product directory for building product manufacturers. By uniting with The British Board of Agrément, the UK’s primary building production certification organization, both companies hope to further assist those in the construction industry wishing to develop sustainable, innovative product development practices.

A key focus of the partnership is a new dedicated Testing & Certification Knowledge Hub on the Barbour Product Search website. The online hub will raise awareness of the benefits of testing and certification and share valuable industry insights, forecasts and trends provided by technical experts within the BBA for Barbour Product Search users.

Both organisations believe the collaboration will support the drive to improve quality and safety in the construction industry by embedding product testing and certification information into the Barbour Product Search website, with easy reference for building designers, specifiers, contractors and manufacturers.

The announcement of this new partnership comes at a very good time, given the government’s recently launched Construction Playbook, which places greater focus on building positive relationships between project leads and industry. Barbour Product Search and the BBA believe this new alliance demonstrates a great example of industry leaders working together to the benefit of the entire supply chain.
