The Construction Marketing Awards are 20 in 2020, and, in order to celebrate the twentieth year, some new categories have been added:
Entries open in April.
Also new for 2020 will be a published Client League, which, like the Agency League, seeks to rank construction companies for the consistency of their marketing performance. It allocates points for performance across a four year rolling window, meaning those at the top will have been producing work deemed excellent by the CMA judges for a period of years.
CMA20 and Covid-19
The virus outbreak should not affect the early parts of the CMA process. Entries are submitted online, and the judging process is mainly conducted online. If necessary, the judging meetings and interviews can be conducted by video conference. At this stage, it is hoped that the social distancing measures introduced recently will be relaxed by November, allowing the gala dinner presentation to proceed, but if they are not, the entries will still be judged, winners announced, and trophies awarded, as usual. It will just be a little different!
Key dates for 2020:
Entries open – 6th April
Entries close – 18th September
Shortlist published – 12th October
Gala dinner presentation – 26th November
