Event Details
The organisers of South East Construction Expo have announced the launch of Construction Live! – a new event programme designed to provide architects, engineers and other construction professionals with relevant and practical content presented in an interesting and interactive format.
Many online events put in place in response to the restrictions can be limited in their appeal and uninteresting in the way they are presented. Presenters are remote and the ability for attendees to engage with them is limited to third party Q & As. The Construction Live! approach is quite different and proven to be more informative and closer to the live experience we all miss.
Construction Live! will emulate a TV magazine format that combines entertaining presentation with conversation and, ultimately, direct engagement with the audience. Content presenters will initially join a brief conversation with the hosts on the subject before giving their presentation. These will be brief (10-15 minutes depending on number of presentations) after which, instead of reassembling with the host asking questions submitted via the function buttons, each presenter will host a break-out room.
Next Event
‘Built-in Sustainability’, the next event, takes place on 6th May and will look at what is meant by sustainability and how to incorporate it within your projects.
In response to client demand and Government legislation, it will also compare a selection of different methods of construction, discuss their suitability, cost and sustainable credentials, and consider:
- Cross Laminated Timber (CLT)
- Offsite constructed lightweight steel
- Thin joint masonry systems with an overview from an end user
Hosted by leading industry communicator, Willmott Dixon’s Stephen Parker, speakers include:
- Dan Jestico, Director, ICENI Futures
- Norman Hinckes, Managing Director, Masonry Frame Systems
- Andy Rolfe, Business Development Manager, Roe Timber Frame Ltd
