November’s Low Carbon Homes event is supported by Manchester City Council and Manchester Climate Change Agency, and offers manufacturers and suppliers of clean-tech solutions a high-profile opportunity to engage with city specifiers and policy-makers. The event’s programme has been specifically designed to inform housing policy development and help achieve the city’s Zero Carbon By 2038 Target, and actively encourages industry participation and facilitation.
Low Carbon Homes has been created by Cogent Events to help accelerate …..
….. the transition to low carbon, with emphasis on the particularly challenging issue of improving our existing housing stock. Recognising that many solutions already exist, the nationwide event series provides a platform for advocates of proven methodologies and technologies to share best practice, debunk myths and provide real-world answers to the many challenges facing specifiers and influencers, in both the registered provider and private sectors.
“We’re delighted to be able to host Low Carbon Homes in Manchester as we recognise the challenge of updating our existing housing stock to meet our Low Carbon targets and reduce fuel poverty. It’s an important initiative of which we are proud to support,” said Jon Sawyer, Director of Housing and Residential Growth, Manchester City Council.
The Manchester event on 14th November will build on the three successful regional events already staged in 2019 by Cogent, and includes a new heat pump feature area: Heat Pump Focus is supported by manufacturers including Daikin, Kensa, LG, NIBE and Vaillant as well as the Heat Pump Association and Ground Source Heat Pump Association, and includes presentations, meetings and exhibits reflecting the wide range of solutions offered by heat pump technology.
Plenary sessions and workshops at the free-to-attend, day-long event cover a wide range of topics including the Fabric First approach, supply chain market support, BEIS-funded trial reviews, funding models, policy development and the optimisation of legacy heating systems (supported by manufacturers IMI Hydronics, Spirotech and Proflush).
Partnership opportunities are still available, including sponsorship, workshop hosting, and exhibiting – with costs starting at just £450 + VAT.
