Provider of construction project leads, CIS, have published their ‘Q2 Construction Activity Report’, detailing Ireland’s construction activity during the period including new projects added to the pipeline.

The period covered represents the bulk of activity since the onset of the pandemic in late March. In consequence, the report outlines the impact Covid-19 has had on the industry in terms of planning applications, decisions and public sector tenders.

The report also provides a comparative analysis against the corresponding period in 2019 and a comprehensive summary of the overall planning pipeline for 2020 on both a sector-by-sector and a regional basis. In the introduction, the commentary cautions that “… it is difficult to predict what activity levels are likely to be for Q3 and Q4 at this stage, but the trajectory for both applications and decisions do look positive and as the industry adapts to a “new norm” and the promised support from Government, the industry will hopefully bounce back to pre-Covid levels.”
