Examining the Construction Pipeline Across the North

With Construction EXPO North approaching, the organisers have announced details of the opening session.

The day will begin with an opening keynote panel, From Pipeline to Place: Delivering the North’s Construction Opportunity, addressing one of the most important questions facing the industry: the scale of construction opportunity across the North, and the ability to deliver it.

Drawing on construction pipeline data, economic and business confidence insight, and first-hand industry experience, the panel will examine the scale and timing of the pipeline across the North, how confident the sector is in its readiness, and the practical steps needed to unlock delivery at pace and scale.

You’ll hear perspectives from:

• Subrahmaniam Krishnan-Harihara, Director of Business Policy and Research, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce
• Patrick Connolly FCIOB, Director, Connolly Construction & Management Ltd
• Drilon Baca, Economist, Glenigan

Together, they will explore both the constraints facing delivery, including skills, capacity, productivity, cost and supply chain resilience, and the enablers needed to turn opportunity into progress across the region.

This session sets the direction for a CPD-accredited programme exploring skills, sustainability, digital innovation and collaboration across Northern regions.
