Smart Buildings Show to Co-locate with Digital Construction Week as Smart Buildings Media is Acquired by Diversified 

Diversified UK & Europe has announced the acquisition of Smart Buildings Media Limited (SBM). The SBM portfolio consists of an event, Smart Buildings Show, and two digital publications, Smart Buildings Magazine and Smart Infrastructure Magazine.

Held annually at Excel London, Smart Buildings Show is recognised as the leading event where the commercial smart buildings industry comes together. The event features over 100 exhibitors and 3,500 visitors, including professionals in energy management, IT & digital infrastructure, management & proptech, and controls. The digital publications support the industry and the event, reaching tens of thousands of subscribers each month. SBM’s event and publications dovetail nicely with Diversified’s existing digital construction and geospatial portfolio, which includes Digital Construction Week and GEO Business.

From 2027, Smart Buildings Show will be co-located with Digital Construction Week and GEO Business at Excel London on 23–24 June. It will run as a stand-alone event, with its own entrance, look and feel, while gaining the scale and synergy of taking place alongside both shows. Together, the three events will bring more than 350 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors from across the built environment under one roof. 

Longtime fixtures of SBM, John Hatcher, co-owner, editor & conference director, and Sales Manager Claire Hatchett, will join Diversified UK & Europe to continue delivering the high-quality event and publications customers have come to expect from SBM.

The next edition of Smart Buildings Show will be co-located with Digital Construction Week at ExCel London from 23rd-24th June 2027.
