Interior Design magazine has published its first instalment of the two-part annual business survey of Interior Design Giants, comprising the 100 largest firms ranked by fees for the 12-month period ending 31st December 2020. The second instalment of the ranking – The 100 Rising Giants – will be published in July.
The rankings include global firms engaged in all types of interiors work, including commercial and residential. According to the survey, office projects accounted for 33% of fees, down from 40% on the previous year, hospitality accounted for 10% – down from 15%. Other business segments were largely even for the year. Healthcare accounted for 14% of all fees with residential and government bringing in 8% percent and 7% respectively.
