Re-development of 10 Urban Areas in France – International Consultation Opens

This international consultation, called ‘Quartiers de demain’, is one of the measures in the ‘Quartiers 2030’ Plan.

At the initiative of the President of the French Republic, the international Quartiers de Demain consultation aims to harness the best in architectural, urban and landscape innovation and design to transform ten priority urban neighborhoods and create a national dynamic in support of urban policy. The consultation will enable the realization of projects that will have an impact across the neighborhoods and beyond, providing for the needs of local residents and making an exemplary contribution to ecological transition. Entry to the Quartiers de Demain consultation is open to designers from November 8, 2024. Conducted by public interest group Europe des Projets Architecturaux et Urbains, the project is part of the quartiers 2030 initiative. By means of 10 parallel competitive dialogues, conducted simultaneously in the selected areas, 30 international teams (three per site) will be announced in January 2025 to work on the future of urban policy.
