Media 10 has acquired The Stone Show & Hard Surfaces from the QMJ Group. The show’s May 2025 edition, co-located with UK Construction Week, will be its final event under QMJ ownership.
Starting in 2026 under Media 10, the event will be relaunched under a new name: Stone & Surfaces.
The shows rebrand will see it expand and shift from a biennial event to an annual fixture. Stone & Surfaces will broaden to include not only hard surfaces but also flooring, wall coverings and surface innovations.
Stone & Surfaces is set to be an international showcase. The show has confirmed participation from design and manufacturing hubs including Italy, Iran, India, China, Egypt and more.
New features for the 2026 show include live demonstrations of stonemasonry, artisanal techniques and advanced machinery; A CPD-accredited education programme; and interactive zones for attendees to gain insights.
Sam Patel, Director of Global Markets at Media 10, said, “We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to Richard Bradbury and The QMJ Group for their dedication and vision in building the show into the respected platform it is today. We’re excited to take this respected event in a bold new direction. Stone & Surfaces will build on its rich heritage while embracing new materials, new ideas, and a broader global audience. It’s a natural next step for Media 10 – and for the industry.”
Richard Bradbury, QMJ Managing Director, added, ‘Media 10 have cultivated invaluable face-to-face access to the UK’s architecture & designer community through market-leading events that include Clerkenwell Design Week, UK Construction Week, and Design London. I’m delighted that Stone Show visitors and exhibitors will directly benefit from this going forwards, both through richer content and enhanced networking opportunities.”
